Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned Locates causes of trouble, dismantles engines, and examines parts for defects. Provides repair and time estimates. Replaces or repairs parts such as rings and bearings. Cleans/adjusts/replaces carburetor and fuel systems. Starts repaired engines and listens to sounds to test performance. Replaces engines on machines. Repairs/replaces mower decks, blades, and performs routine service. Repairs and replaces drive systems. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Accounts for all time on a time cardand for all material used in performing assigned duties. QualificationsEducation and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two years of full time mechanical, electrical and combustion engine repair experience repairing large and small lawn equipment, utility vehicles, mowers, tillers, generators, and other related equipment Experience with MTD small engines preferred but not required Experience with Utility Vehicle repair and service is desired Ability to use a computer for parts inquiries, ordering, and processing warranty claims Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of tools and test equipment Ability to perform accurate repair of customer product Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship Must complete all technician training elements within requiredtime frames Ability to work a Monday- Friday 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age Physical Demands:
