POSITION SUMMARYThe mission of the Technical Sales Specialist is to identify and secure new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on expanding into new markets and diversifying our customer baseThe ideal candidate will be a skilled prospector and a qualified sales professional with a proven track record of successful lead generation and conversionThe role requires proficiency in CRM systems and exceptional relationship-building skills to effectively manage and grow our sales pipeline.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSConduct extensive market research to identify potential business opportunities and target markets for expansion.
Actively prospect and generate new leads through various channels including cold calling, networking, and other outreach strategies.
Qualify leads and opportunities to ensure alignment with company objectives and target customer profiles.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, continuously nurturing leads through various stages of the sales cycle.
Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to effectively position our offerings and secure new business deals.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for expanding look-alike accounts and increasing brand visibility in new markets.
Utilize CRM software to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records of all leads and opportunities.
Regularly update sales forecasts and provide detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
Keep abreast of industry developments, market trends, and competitive positioning to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of market challenges.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or at least 5 years of related work experienceProven history in business development or sales role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, and new business acquisition.
Strong proficiency in CRM systems and other sales management software, preferably Salesforce.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
