These are primary responsibilities.
Position Summary The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for setup and planning of restoration projects under the direction of the Project Manager.
This position will be a primary source of field labor on restoration projects and provide supervisory guidance to Service Technician personnel Duties and Responsibilities Coordinating and Managing Land Management Projects Scheduling management project tasks in coordination with the Assistant Site Manager.
Communication with customer about project schedule and any changes to project content or process including change orders or contract total changes.
Awareness of project budget and project progress Completion of both PRI work records and any other client required documents Communicate with Assistant Site Manager and Admin Assistant as project tasks are completed and ready to be billed.
Maintain work records in an accurate and timely manner Assist Project Managers with Setup and Planning of Restoration Projects Communicate with clients Organization of team members and equipment Internally allocate and/or order project materials as needed Maintain work records in an accurate and timely manner Provide Field Labor on Projects in the following areas Soil Preparation Seeding Planting Erosion control Hand weeding Broadcast and spot herbicide applications Small power equipment operations Prescribed burning Invasive species control Tractor operations Provide Supervisory Guidance to Seasonal Personnel Provide on the job training as appropriate Directing seasonal staff in execution of job tasks Help maintain a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned may include but are not limited to the following Mechanical repairs Facilities maintenance and repair Help at other site location and/or departments Mowing by hand or with tractor Work Environment Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
Noise level may be loud at times.
Use of and exposure to herbicides and use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Working hours can be long and unpredictable.
Physical Demands Must be able to move objects up to 50 lbs.
and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Constant movement and use of limbs.
This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
