The Department of Orthopedic Surgery and M Health Fairview is seeking a full-time general orthopedic surgeon to add to the staff of the Musculoskeletal Service at M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN.



Practice Details:


  • Full spectrum of orthopedic care with the support and backing of and subspecialty support for more complex cases.
  • Clinic location:
    in Princeton, MN and other sites as needed.
  • M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center is a multi-specialty group of over 60 providers conveniently located on Hwy. 169 in Princeton, MN.
  • Practice includes 4 ORs, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 C-section OR.
  • Elective cases performed Monday-Friday until 6:
    00pm.
  • 1 team on off-premise call during off-shifts, weekends, holidays.
  • Team consists of 1 RN, 1 Surgical Tech, 1 PACU nurse and 1 CRNA. Our Anesthesia providers are an independent group of contracted CRNAs. They are a highly skilled group of individuals who provide both pre and post-operative blocks for our orthopedic patients.
  • Top-notch equipment available for most general orthopedic cases in addition to access to numerous vendors to provide implants and support for our orthopedic cases.
  • Surgical cases for orthopedics ranges from small soft tissue repairs to large bone fractures as well as total joint replacements (knees, hips, and shoulders).
  • A 4-8 hour surgical block is granted for new providers and increased as capacity in the block is reached.
  • Practice includes rehabilitation services on-site and in surrounding clinics. We also have a prosthetics department in the hospital.
  • Northland is a semi-rural location with full access to local diagnostics and a primary care service area providing care to 120,000 patients.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Surgical residency training program.
  • Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery.
  • Candidates with fellowship training in trauma, sports medicine, and total joint experience preferred.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
