Casual Occupational Therapist
OverviewLooking for more experience without the dedication of a fulltime position?This casual occupational therapist inpatient position supports the weekend rotation at M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center.
Responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice.
This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
Patient population is general practice setting treating pediatrics and adults with focus on safe discharge planning.
Weekend coverage consists of Saturdays 8:
00am-12:

This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
The occupational therapist partners with the patient and their care providers while performing evaluation/re-evaluation.
They may be responsible for the following:
Collects and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosis Analyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goals Implements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patients response Coordinates care and communicates with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge plan Implements and alters treatment to reflect change in status and response to treatment Assesses patient(s) and/or caregiver learning needs and provides meaningful education QualificationsRequired Occupational Therapy Licensure in State of Minnesota or temporary license in State of Minnesota Active Minnesota Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy 1

Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before October 31, 2021.
Beginning August 9, 2021, any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date.
Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season.
